All Loreto Schools in India belong to the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary founded in England in the 17th century by an English woman named Mary Ward, and later carried over to Ireland by a young Irish girl, Mary Teresa Ball. At present, the Loreto Sisters care for about twenty thousand girls all over India in 17 schools and 2 colleges. It was from Ireland that the first Loreto sisters came to open a school in Calcutta in 1842 and from there many foundations were made all over the country. At present, the Loreto Sisters care for about twenty thousand girls all over India in 17 schools and 2 colleges. Over the years, our educational ministry has kept abreast of contemporary growth and thinking, both academic and social, and has attempted to respond to changing situations. In particular, during the past 2 years, our education Commission has animated the Province to review its educational efforts in the light of current needs in India, and the 1986 Chapter Mandate, which urges us on to a “preferential love of the poor”.

LORETO CONVENT HAS A GREAT TEACHING PROCESS…IF IT IS FELT THAT YOUR CHILD SHOULD HAVE A SPECIAL CHILDHOOD LIFE…..SHE OUGHTS TO BE IN LORETO CONVENT…IT DOESNT ONLY HELPS YOU HAVE GREAT ACADEMICS BUT ALSO TEACHES YOU TO HAVE A GREAT SOCIAL LIFE!!!!
THE SCHOOL COMPLETELY ROCKS .I HAVE SPENT SOME OF MY BEST MEMORIES IN THIS SCHOOL.MY DADS IN ARMY SO UNFORTUNATELY I HAD TO LEAVE THE SCHOOL AND SHIFT TO JABALPUR WHERE I HAVE BEEN STUDYING EVER SINCE I LEFT LORETO.BUT MY EXPERIENCE THERE WAS MESMERISING AND I MISS MY FRIENDS AND TEACHERS. MOREOVER THE THEN PRINCIPAL SISTER CLAIRE WAS A WONDERFUL WOMAN AND MY IDEAL INSPIRATION.
LORETO CONVENT..d place where i started and ended my school life.Now being a pass out from there i feel so proud.Loreto instilled all the morals and value in me.It taught me certain things which i may not have learnt anywhere else.The principal and the staff is very understanding and helpful.The school starts its process of grooming the child right from prep,i.e the first step.I believe loreto convent has it all…receive what you may give:the school moto,loreto chorus,holiday hym,n ofcourse the assembly…will always remember it…cheers..
